By accessing and using the Bid-A-Lot mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.
2. Eligibility
To use Bid-A-Lot, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts
- Not be prohibited from using the service under Ghanaian law
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
3. Account Registration
To access certain features of the App, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
4. Auction Rules
When participating in auctions, you agree to:
- Sellers: List only items you legally own and can sell
- Buyers: Honor all winning bids with payment
- All Users: Conduct transactions in good faith
- Not engage in bid manipulation or shill bidding
- Provide accurate item descriptions and images
5. Prohibited Items
You may not list or sell items that:
- Are illegal under Ghanaian law
- Are stolen, counterfeit, or infringe intellectual property rights
- Are dangerous, hazardous, or weapons
- Contain adult, obscene, or offensive content
- Are regulated items without proper authorization
- Violate our Community Guidelines
6. Fees and Payments
Bid-A-Lot uses a credit-based system for listing auctions:
- Credits can be purchased through our subscription packs via Paystack
- All payments are processed securely through Paystack
- Prices are displayed in Ghanaian Cedis (GHS)
- Credits are non-refundable except as required by law
7. Content Moderation
All listings are subject to content moderation. We reserve the right to:
- Review, approve, or reject any listing
- Remove content that violates our guidelines
- Suspend or terminate accounts for policy violations
- Report illegal activity to law enforcement
8. Limitation of Liability
Bid-A-Lot is a platform connecting buyers and sellers. We are not responsible for:
- The quality, safety, or legality of items listed
- The ability of sellers to complete transactions
- The ability of buyers to pay for items
- Disputes between users
9. Intellectual Property
The Bid-A-Lot name, logo, and all related content are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not use our trademarks without prior written permission.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms. Upon termination:
- Your right to use the App ceases immediately
- Pending auctions may be cancelled
- Unused credits may be forfeited
11. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through:
- Good faith negotiation between the parties
- Mediation in Accra, Ghana if negotiation fails
- Arbitration under the Alternative Dispute Resolution Act, 2010 (Act 798)
12. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes through the App or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
